Recognizing the high concentrations of wealth in Asia, particularly in ownership of businesses and properties, Ajia Partners was built on a network of leading families mostly from Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea. The business model was designed to enhance access to quality investment opportunities - this advantage has provided and still provides Ajia Partners’ direct investment businesses with competitive and often exclusive deal flow.
By 2005, Ajia Partners created leading teams in each of special situations, fund-of-hedge-funds, asset management and real estate. In addition, the firm has a strong operations team guided by proven managers with financial, quantitative, compliance, legal and risk management skills. The firm's investor base has expanded from Asian families to pension funds, financial institutions, family offices and high net worth individuals from North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Today, Ajia Partners is primarily owned and managed by eight operating partners and has over US$1 billion under management and advice.
