Bob is a native of Shanghai and has been professionally active in Northeast Asia since 1975. Bob headed The Boston Consulting Group¡¦s practice in Asia between 1976 and 1985, while based in Tokyo. From 1985 to 1993, representing BCG as the Executive Director for China, he led assignments relating to economic reforms and enterprise restructuring on behalf of Chinese industry ministries and bureaus, multilateral agencies, and multinational corporations.. Bob was, for ten years, Vice Chairman of Morningside (China), a private equity investment firm, from which he retired in 2004. In addition to deal related activities, he had served as chairman or vice chairman in the invested companies on behalf of Morningside and typically assumed the responsibilities for strategic planning including M&A and global alliances.
