John is responsible for managing investments for his family office, having previously worked in various positions within Ajia Partner's Asian Equities Group and Fund Of Funds Group. John was also the CIO and founder of Matrix Global Investments, a hedge fund specializing in technology related companies, as well as Board member and anchor investor in Convergence Tech Venture in Silicon Valley. John's family, originally from Shanghai, is one of the world's largest bulk ship owner/operators. John received his BA from Colgate University and MBA from Columbia University, and is fluent in Japanese and Mandarin.
